ISKCON Sri Radha Krishna Temple is one of the most visited temples in Bangalore. The temple is located in Rajajinagar, Bangalore, about 5-6 km from central bus station/railway station, and 2 km from Yeshwantpur railway station.  It is a huge and impressive structure, a blend of traditional temple architecture and the modern style of construction. The main temple hall houses the presiding Deities of Sri Radha Krishnachandra, Sri Krishna with Balarama and Sri Nitai with Gauranga. There are two separate smaller shrines for the Deities of Sri Srinivasa Govinda and Sri Prahlada Narasimha. 


The major festivals celebrated here are Brahmotsava, Sri Krishna Janmashtami and Vaikuntha Ekadashi.

Darshan timings: 7:15 am to 1:00 pm and 4:15 pm to 8:30 pm.

Bus route: 80, 80A, 80B, 80E, 80F, 80G, 252F (from Majestic), 77, 77E (from City Market) and 79E (from Shivajinagar).

Alight at Mahalakshmi layout entrance stop and from there it is a 5-minute walk to the temple.

Devagiri Sree Venkateshwara Temple

Varapada Venkateshwara Devagiri Temple is situated on a lovely hillock, Devagiri in Banashankari, Bangalore.

The Devagiri temple is dedicated to Lord Venkateshwara (Vishnu). The Deity of Lord Venkateshwara here appears to be a replica of the Deity in Tirumala, Andhra Pradesh. The presiding Deity of Sri Venkateswara is located in between Lord Ganesha and Goddess Padmavathi.

Another allure of Devagiri temple is its 108 feet high Rajagopura. There are distinct shrines for the Navagrahas and Sri Hanuman. There is also a Kalyana Mantapa, a Mukha Mantapa, Addalu Mantapa, etc. Vaikuntha Ekadasi and Saturdays attract a large number of devotees to the temple. Thirukalyana Seva (the divine wedding ceremony of the Lord) is an important offering.

Vasantha Vallabha Raya Temple

Vasantha Vallabha Raya Temple, located on a small hillock in Vasanthapura, Bangalore South, is one of the ancient temples.

The temple is dedicated to Lord Vasantha Vallabha Raya Swamy (Lord Venkateshwara). The history of this temple is connected with the legend of Lord Venkateshwara at Tirupati which says that Lord Venkateshwara stayed at this place for some time.

In front of this temple, there is a small shrine dedicated to Lord Rama and Hanuman.

The surrounding area of the temple looks beautiful with a number of trees and flower sellers occupying the area. Vasantha Vallabha Raya Temple with a beautiful piece of history and the Hindu religious tradition is worth a visit by all.

Kote Venkataramana Temple

Kote Venkataramana Temple is one of the ancient temples and important places of attraction in Bangalore.

The temple is located on KR Road, near City Market and dedicated to the worship of Lord Venkateshwara. It was constructed in sixteenth century by the then Mysore ruler, Chikka Devaraja Wodeyar. The temple built in Dravidian style of architecture is renowned for its beautiful stone carvings.

Vaikuntha Ekadashi is the main festival celebrated here. Thousands of devotees visit the temple to get the blessings of Lord Venkateshwara on this occasion.

To visit the temple, first you can reach City Market and then ask for the route there. There are frequent BMTC buses to City Market from most places of Bangalore city and rural. Kote Venkataramana Temple is situated just beside Tippu Sultan's palace.

Champakadhama Temple

The Champakadhama Temple is located at a distance of 20 km from Bangalore in picturesque lush green surroundings near Bannerghatta National Park.

This historical temple is dedicated to Lord Champakadhama, a form of Lord Vishnu. A huge number of devotees from Bangalore city and surroundings come here for darshan.

The history of the temple dates back to 12th century. As per the inscriptions found here, the temple was built in 1257 during Hoysala period under the ruler Tamilarasa. While entering the temple premises, one can see here the writing belonging to the 12th century.

The shrine houses Deities of Lord Champakadhama along with Goddess Lakshmi and Goddess Bhoodevi.

A three-day annual fair is held here in the month of March or April every year.
Darshan timings: 6 am to 12 pm and 5 pm to 7 pm.

Sri Tirumalagiri Lakshmi Venkateshwara Temple

Sri Tirumalagiri Lakshmi Venkateshwara Temple is located in a beautiful location in J P Nagar 2nd Phase, Bangalore. The temple is dedicated to Lord Venkateshwara (Lord Vishnu).

The presiding Deity of Lord Venkateshwara appears to be a replica of the one worshipped at Tirumala (Andhra Pradesh) and is accompanied by Lord Narasimha Swamy to His right and Goddess Lakshmi to His left.

The temple also houses separate shrines for Lord Govindaraja Swamy, Sri Anjaneya (Hanuman), Lord Ganapathi and Maha Shesha.

The beautiful Venkateshwara Temple at Vyalikaval is built as per the guidance of TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams) temple architects according to the Agama Shastra.

The temple houses the Deities of Lord Venkateshwara, Goddess Padmavati, Andal Ammavaru, Lord Rama, Mother Sita, Lakshmana, Hanuman, Lord Ganesha and Sri  Radha Krishna. The Deities have been sculpted by TTD and all of Them are exact stone replicas of the ones at Tirumala.

The temple premises also include a TTD information center, where you can book e-darshan tickets and offer other services.

According to the officials of the temple, Pujas in this temple are similar to those conducted at the main shrine in Tirumala. All contributions that are made here shall be directly credited to TTD Hundi at Tirupathi.

Also, here you can buy one Tirupathi Laddu for Rs. 25, every Saturday.

Chikka Thirupathi

Sri Prasanna Venkateshwara Temple is situated in Chikka Thirupathi. The place is in Malur taluk of Kolar district and is 40 km from Bangalore.

As per the sthala purana, the Deity of Sri Prasanna Venkateshwara was installed by Agni, the God of fire. The Lord stands here with His consorts Sri Devi and Bhoo Devi, with his right held in an upward mudra called abhaya hasta.

Since this place is considered an alternative to Tirupati temple in Andhra Pradesh, the ritual of tonsuring the heads among the devotees is also held here. Similarly the festivals such as Brahmotsava, Rathotsava, Vaikuntha Ekadasi etc. are also celebrated. During the Rathotsava, a 70 feet tall wooden chariot is made every year.

To visit the temple, one has to take the road to go to Airport, then to Marthahalli, then to Hope Farm cross near Whitefield and take a right turn at Channasandra which is on NH-207 (land mark - M V J College of Engineering). After travelling toward Saniatamallasandra, Ettukodi and Kalkunte Agrahara, one will reach Chikka Tirupathi.

Darshan timings: 6:30 am to 7:30 pm without a break.
